The PKP Day

Routines and daily schedules are very important to young children.  A sense of safety, security, and well-being are the result of predictable routine.  Consistency with people, times, and activities contribute to the child's ability to predict what will happen next.  Young children have a difficult time waiting.  Waiting leads to frustration, anxiety, and unwanted behavior.

This is our 3rd year of PKP with our 2nd child and it truly has been such a wonderful community for our family. The teachers are diverse in their knowledge and expertise creating a superb dynamic. Their positive and welcoming attitudes are contagious creating a ripple effect to the parents and students. Our experience with both of our children has been a team approach providing individualized attention to the many different needs of the students. Our older children had different opportunities at preschools and I can whole heartedly say PKP has far exceeded our expectations. The enormous amount of support has been overwhelmingly awesome! I would recommend PKP to anyone and wish every Oak Park child could attend.
